- Provide thought leadership to development and synthesis of a cohesive and executable business unit strategy to meet business unit growth goals, support Annual Operating plan and Long-Range Strategic Plan development and planning
- Manage business opportunity pipeline; conduct pipeline reviews and business acquisition process (BAP) gate reviews
- Lead new business development activity to identify new business opportunities; Lead and manage new business capture
- Create, maintain and implement customer engagement strategies and senior customer visit plans across domestic and international military, government, and industry leadership in order to cultivate close customer relationships
- Develop, implement and manage a process and strategies for new business capture that results in competitive capture and improved win rate, including proposal management support that ultimately drives growth for the Division
- Work with customers to better understand requirements to drive mission solutions and capability development
- Support the Business Unit’s Investment Strategy & Management, to include Performance Tracking. Responsible for the fiscal management of the department’s new business and investment (IRAD) budget
- Knowledgeable in Customer Relationships Management (CRM) tools (e.g. Salesforce) while following the process standards of the Northrop Grumman Business Acquisition Process (BAP)
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 10 years of Aerospace and Defense experience
- 5 years of management experience in Functional Management, Engineering Management, Operations Management, and/or Program Management
- Demonstrated multi-disciplinary global business development, strategy development and capture experience
- Demonstrated people leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment –
- Proven ability to provide independent critical assessments, that ultimately result in better outcomes for the enterprise
- Must be able to obtain and maintain and active DOD (Department of Defense) Secret clearance
- Must be able to work on-site in Orlando, FL or McLean, VA; travel up to 50% if not in Orlando.
- Master’s Degree
- Knowledge of Live, Virtual, and Constructive as well as Immersive training Environments
- Experience deploying Mission Planning and Decision Support Tools
- Military experience at senior command and/or staff levels
- Significant experience in driving new business development, capture leadership and/or program management
- TS/SCI Clearance

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Director of Global Growth and Business Capture for the Mission Readiness and Protective Systems (MRPS) Business Unit. The Director is responsible for leading strategy, business and market development, new business capture, and customer engagements for the MRPS Business Unit. This position will work closely with the Business Unit Vice President and oversee a team supporting the various Operating Units. The Director will report to the Combat Systems and Mission Readiness Division Director for Mission Solutions and Strategy.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, self-motivated, well-organized, reliable and detail oriented. The successful candidate will have outstanding communication and negotiation abilities and possess the leadership skills necessary to direct a team of professionals.
