Lead the planning of annual and biannual strategic planning sessions inclusive of OKR (Objectives & Key Results) setting in partnership with COO. This strategic planning process includes talent strategy, business metrics, pacing of work, milestones and more.
Develop and establish holistic business reviews inclusive of outputs to stakeholders and staff. This role will create and evolve a monthly business review that represents the most important work from our OKRs, audience insights, and business metrics via consumer/ad revenue and subscriber data. To be effective this role will operate with business partners to represent the most important work, track and support next steps and seek feedback to constantly evolve. In addition, this role will require the judgment and skill to determine what reporting from these forums should be shared with stakeholders and with staff which will require customization and constant feedback/evolution to ensure all have a deep understanding of where we have been and where we are going.
Develop and establish weekly and monthly mechanisms to evaluate data and insights. This role will liaise with the data and analytics team to identify and tee up key insights for leadership discussion as well as drive teams and leaders to next steps that positively affect metrics and business outcomes. This role is responsible for surfacing the right insights and leading agreed upon action to execution and tracking the associated impact of that action.
Establish and lead the operating model that brings the OKR discipline to life. This includes taking the set of established OKRs and determining the best way to work and gather around each body of cross functional work. This role will recommend and refine the operating model that brings this to life in partnership with the COO.
Establish new processes to support compliance and decrease risk. Specifically, this role will lead the processes to manage vendor relationships with the leadership team, vendors and CEI’s Sourcing team. In addition, this role will be our primary partner with the CEI Legal team and work across the AJC to facilitate needed implementation.
Lead OKR tracking and evaluation. This role will establish systems, process, and excellence in using OKRs to create a line of sight into all work and the ability to detect early warning signs of work off track well ahead of having any effect on business outcomes. This major body of work will be a large and constant part of the role. The person in the role will be responsible for leveraging best practices, seeking feedback and evolving our OKR discipline with the leadership team and COO.
Lead our change in workspace and ongoing workspace related matters. This role will manage our 2024 move from our current facility to a new facility. Work will include workspace layout and consultation with CEI (Cox Enterprises, Inc. - Parent Company) Facilities team in addition to working with staff to outline and implement changes needed to access and work productively in this new facility.

A Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of relevant experience; a Master’s degree and 8 years of experience; or a Ph.D. and 5 years of experience is required. In lieu of a degree, 14 years of experience will be considered.
At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role.

This role lives at the intersection of all teams and is responsible for understanding how the work of teams affects other teams. This role establishes the processes and mechanism by which we will have early warning signs of work being on/off track long before we see the results in our business metrics. This is a highly visible role that will interface with leadership across the AJC and CEI and must constantly represent the excellence of the Operations team and the AJC to the company.
