      Job Description

      The Director, Strategic Sourcing of packaging materials across Monogram Foods, ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and innovation. The director will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders—such as Operations, Sales, Commercialization, and R&D—to identify business needs and select preferred packaging partners that align with the company's goals for cost, sustainability, and operational effectiveness. Acting as a key link between the Central Procurement Team and suppliers, the Director will lead efforts to optimize the packaging supply chain, improve supplier performance, and drive innovation in packaging materials and processes. This includes conducting market analysis, managing supplier relationships, and working cross-functionally to ensure that packaging strategies support both the company's commercial objectives and its sustainability initiatives.

      Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

      • Serve as the primary procurement partner for assigned plant(s), translating operational needs into actionable sourcing plans and ensuring uninterrupted supply.
      • Lead the strategic sourcing of key commodities, driving cost optimization, contract compliance, and leveraging data analytics to inform negotiations.
      • Design and execute strategic sourcing initiatives that align with company goals and deliver measurable value.
      • Develop and continuously improve procurement processes that empower buyers to make informed decisions, maintain optimal inventory levels, and support production demands.
      • Optimize procurement systems, tools, and reporting to increase efficiency, visibility, and decision-making accuracy.
      • Build, lead, and coach a high-performing team of buyers, fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and results.
      • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, and other departments to ensure alignment and transparency in procurement activities.
      • Monitor and proactively address supply shortages and disruptions, implementing corrective actions to mitigate risk.
      • Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships, ensuring clear communication, performance management, and alignment with company standards.
      • Take on additional responsibilities and strategic projects as assigned to support organizational objectives.


      The ideal candidate will have the following:

      Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s degree is required.
      • At least 10 years of experience in strategic and operational procurement functions, with a focus on packaging and preferably in the food industry.
      • Broad understanding of the company’s supply chain.
      • Strong critical and strategic thinking abilities.
      • Excellent negotiation skills.
      • Good problem-solving skills.
      • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to interact and engage well with other individuals, departments, and vendors.
      • Good leadership skills and the ability to manage a team of professionals.
      • Proficiency in using a variety of computer software.
      • Excellent analytical skills.
      • Good time management skills and the ability to multitask.
      • Ability to identify potential process
      • Experience interacting and presenting to internal and external executives with strong communication abilities.
      • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
