      The TV & Streaming Strategy and Business Development group is hiring a Director. The Director will be responsible for the financial modeling and strategic analyses of business development opportunities across NBCUniversal’s TV & Streaming platforms. Will lead the development of new strategies and identification of opportunities for revenue growth and value enhancement through rights acquisition, M&A transactions, strategic alliances, partnerships, and organic business creation.

      The Director will be required to help analyze strategic and business development opportunities across NBCUniversal, particularly focused on NBC Sports, NBC Sports Next (golf, youth sports), NBCU Local & Regional Sports Networks, Telemundo Deportes, and Fandango opportunities. The scope of the job will include programming, production, digital, consumer transactional businesses, ventures, broadcast, cable, and Peacock analyses. The Director will assist in communicating the work to functional and corporate executives across the company.

      Responsibilities:

      • Support VP in deal processes and execution associated with analysis of new and existing rights across NBCUniversal TV and streaming platforms
      • Manage day-to-day communication and collaboration with ad sales, finance, programming, production, digital, marketing, legal, NBC Sports Next, Telemundo, NBCU Local & Regional Sports Networks, and Fandango teams
      • Create detailed presentations to support analyses and participate in executive-level discussions on such opportunities
      • Serve as part of a deal team and work closely with NBC Sports Group and Comcast's Corporate Development team for all acquisitions and investment activities, including sourcing, analysis, structuring, valuation, negotiation, due diligence and closing activities
      • Complete detailed financial modeling and analyses of opportunities including valuation/financial statement analyses, Net Present Value, discounted cash flow, and look-back analyses
      • Assist in deal structuring by maintaining close collaboration with accounting, tax, and legal teams
      • Independently lead the transaction execution process
      • Proactively identify and evaluate trends, new markets, new technology, and business opportunities in sports, media, and other related industries
      • Independently identify potential new revenue opportunities and analyze potential target acquisitions and partners consistent with strategic goals
      • Communicate findings effectively both verbally and in written form including end-to-end, polished, executive-ready presentations

      Qualifications/Requirements:

      • Bachelor's degree
      • A minimum of 6-8 years of professional experience
      • A minimum of three (3) years investment banking, consulting, business development, corporate development experience with a media, technology, or sports company
      • Strong transactional background and negotiation experience
      • Strong strategy skills; a well-developed understanding of consumer behaviors and usage patterns; know how to move quickly and seize opportunities in a rapidly changing media landscape
      • Superior quantitative skills, including strong facility with Microsoft Excel, and a sound understanding of finance and financial accounting
      • Excellent presentation skills (narrative building, influencing with data, executive presence)
      • Decisive, quick, forward-thinking, strategic, and tactical executive; proven ability to work across an organization at all levels with technical, creative, and executive team members under tight deadlines
      • Self-starter with experience managing separate workstreams that feed into larger deal/project team task

      Additional Requirements:

      Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
