- Supervise and support campus-based family engagement staff
- Collaborate with principals, central office leaders, and community partners
- Evaluate program effectiveness and align services with La Joya ISD strategic goals
- Represent La Joya ISD in regional and statewide family and community networks
- Master’s degree in Education, Social Work, Counseling, or related field
- Mid-management or Principal certification preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Deep knowledge of family engagement research and best practices
- Ability to plan strategically and manage programmatic budgets
- Develop and lead a district-wide vision and strategy for family and community engagement aligned to the District Improvement Plan
- Serve as the key advisor on family engagement practices to executive leadership, principals, and campus teams
- Supervise, coach, and evaluate all campus-based Parent and Family Liaisons and support staff
- Design and facilitate professional learning and onboarding for all staff supporting family and community engagement
- Ensure full compliance with Title I, Part A parent and family engagement requirements
- Lead documentation, evaluation, and audits of parent involvement efforts at the district and campus levels
- Create district wide programs to support parent learning in literacy, digital access, college/career readiness, and attendance
- Facilitate the District Parent Advisory Council and represent family voice in major district initiatives
- Cultivate and manage relationships with local agencies, faith-based organizations, and nonprofits to increase family access to services
- Represent La Joya ISD in interagency collaborations that support student and family wellbeing
- Collect and analyze data to evaluate program impact and guide improvement
- Provide regular reports and updates to district leadership and the Board of Trustees
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Maintain emotional control under stress; meet deadlines; work with frequent interruptions
- Frequent district wide travel; occasional prolonged hours for evening/weekend family events

La Joya ISD is seeking an innovative and experienced leader to serve as the Director of Family and Community Engagement. This individual will be responsible for designing, leading, and implementing a district-wide family engagement strategy that supports student learning, increases family and community partnerships, and ensures compliance with federal and state parent involvement guidelines.

Education/Certification:
Experience:
Minimum three (3) years of leadership/supervisory experience
Experience in Title I compliance and federal program coordination
Demonstrated success working with diverse and multilingual families
