- Provide strategic and operational leadership over all infrastructure connectivity domains, including enterprise networking, remote access, wireless, and telecommunications.
- Design, maintain, and optimize reliable connectivity across both physical and virtual environments, including on-premises data centers and Microsoft Azure.
- Lead core network engineering efforts supporting routing, switching, segmentation, and performance tuning.
- Oversee real-time monitoring and operations for network performance, availability, and issue resolution across all sites.
- Direct wireless infrastructure initiatives to ensure seamless mobility and secure Wi-Fi access across clinical and corporate locations.
- Manage implementation and policy enforcement for network access control (NAC), integrating identity-based access and device posture validation.
- Ensure secure ingress/egress boundaries through firewall design, segmentation, and perimeter policy enforcement.
- Drive network automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency, leveraging scripting and infrastructure-as-code for on-prem and cloud networks.
- Lead DNS, DHCP, and IP address management (IPAM) services to support core addressing and name resolution across the enterprise.
- Oversee VoIP and Unified Communications services, including both traditional on-premise systems and cloud-based collaboration platforms.
- Direct remote access infrastructure and site connectivity, enabling secure access to applications from any location.
- Support cloud network interconnectivity strategy to ensure secure and scalable integration between on-premise systems and Microsoft Azure.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and telecom carriers to ensure SLA performance and cost optimization.
- Develop and manage annual budgets, resource planning, and capital project initiatives.
- Build and mentor a high-performing team across all connectivity support areas, promoting technical depth and cross-training.
- Ensure adherence to compliance standards, including HIPAA and internal cybersecurity policies, in collaboration with the IT Security team.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s beneficial).
- 12+ years of progressive IT infrastructure experience, with at least 7 years in a leadership role overseeing enterprise network and connectivity services.
- Deep technical knowledge of enterprise LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, firewalls, Wi-Fi, VPN, cloud networking, and voice systems.
- Strong understanding of hybrid cloud environments, particularly Microsoft Azure network architecture.
- Demonstrated experience managing large-scale network operations, monitoring platforms, and automation strategies.
- Proven success in vendor management, project execution, and cross-functional team collaboration.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
- Experience supporting healthcare or regulated environments (e.g., HIPAA) is highly preferred.
- Cisco CCNP/CCIE, Fortinet NSE, or similar enterprise network certifications.
- Azure Network Engineer Associate or AWS Advanced Networking certification.
- Participation in after-hours or on-call escalation for major incidents.
