- Leadership – Using your leadership skills you will provide strategic direction regarding all strategy, assembly, development, and execution of the sales planning process for our National Grocery Team. You will identify opportunities to improve profit and gross sales volume based on analysis of promotion, spending, and volume (forecasts and actuals). You will help with the personal development of your team and elevate your team to provide top-level support within the sales planning processes and systems.
- Internal Collaboration – Working with internal business partners you will influence and coordinate the efforts of various groups to maximize our monthly Sales Business Reviews. Your efforts will elevate the Trade Strategy & Planning Team as a resource partner for Field Sales to escalate risks and opportunities as well as a partner with Integrated Business Planning to accurately assess and forecast the business. You will access, analyze, and interpret lead business indicators of shipments, share, consumption, and promotional volume.
- Planning & Trade Strategy - Driving and championing the ongoing development and execution of trade architecture, annual planning, and budgeting will be an important aspect of your responsibilities. You will own the timeline and be accountable for key planning deliverables throughout the year. You will also be accountable for advancing how we look at and maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of trade funding including assessing risks and prioritizing opportunities.
- Project Management – You will be accountable for executing projects and activities in a timely fashion to ensure smooth planning processes and procedures for the Trade Strategy & Planning team as well as Field Sales. Identify, develop, and implement best practices to help us drive continuous improvement programs. You’ll cultivate high-level system expertise that enables you to troubleshoot across functions, correct problems, and guide the Sales organization with a special emphasis on Revenue Growth Management application and Trade Strategy Optimization.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required to influence key stakeholders
- Strong understanding of the selling process and the route to market across multiple channels
- Prior involvement or ownership over budgeting, revenue growth management, or trade strategy processes
- Solid working knowledge of Profit & Loss statements and drivers of profitable growth
- Proven strong analytical skills and business analysis experience with a solutions-based mindset and ability to sell and influence ideas internally and externally
- Ability to retrieve, merge, understand, and interpret data from numerous sources
- High-level proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, coupled with strong management and leadership abilities.
