      Recognized as one of Forbes 2024 “America's Best Large Employers” and named to the Forbes 2024 "Best Employers for Diversity", Labcorp is seeking to hire a Director, US Benefits. This role will manage and administer all company-sponsored benefit plans, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability and 401 (k) plans. In addition, the Director, US Benefits holds these responsibilities:

      • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, such as COBRA, FMLA, ERISA, and other applicable laws.
      • Serve as the primary point of contact for all benefits-related inquiries and issues from employees.
      • Collaborate with third-party administrators, insurance providers, and investment firms to ensure seamless benefits administration.
      • Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on available benefits and enrollment processes.
      • Analyze benefit utilization data and trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and plan optimization.
      • Manage the annual benefits renewal process, including plan evaluations, negotiations, and employee communications.
      • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and legal updates related to employee benefits.
      • Maintain benefit recordkeeping system, ensuring information is accurate and current, making updates by entering approved changes in benefits and deductions.
      • Audit HR, Benefit and Worker's Compensation data for accuracy, identifying and troubleshooting issues.
      • Oversee 401(k) Plan Administration, including annual employee meetings, deferral and loan processing.

      Minimum Requirements

      • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
      • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in benefits administration, including at least 3 years of supervisory experience in benefits, with a focus on COBRA, FMLA, and short-term disability management.
      • Proven track record of managing benefits programs for organizations with over 40,000 employees.
      • Comprehensive knowledge of 401(k) plans, including plan design, investment options, and compliance requirements.
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex benefits information clearly and concisely.
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve benefits-related issues.
      • Proficiency in benefits administration software.
      • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with discretion.
      • Experience with benefits administration in unionized environments.
      • Knowledge of benefits accounting and financial reporting.

      ****Role is remote, but the ideal candidate will reside in either Durham, NC or Burlington, NC****

      Application Window: 8/8/24

      Pay Range: $150,000-$180,000 + bonus potential
