      This role is responsible for leading and actively designing how our 30+ brands are brought to life across every digital touchpoint along the customer journey. Partnering closely with fellow user experience leaders, product management, technology colleagues and brand stakeholders to meet business and customer needs. He/She/They will promote UX best practices drawn from a variety of disciplines, continually seeking to improve how customers digitally experience our brands. The ideal candidate will have experience in creating and enhancing an atomic design system, with the ability to conceptualize and create designs for flexible, common use with accessibility and inclusion in mind.

      The role will be part of a team, within the broader UX organization, focused across all product areas to ensure journey-wide cohesion across the full experience (web to app to on-property), driving harmony and connection between products so the overall end consumer experience is seamless, easy and intuitive.

      This position requires the ability to produce design as well as direct designers, including internal associates and contractors/agencies, driving the creative process from concept through design documentation and execution.

      CANDIDATE PROFILE

      Education and Experience

      · 8+ years of relevant UX/product design experience
      · 4 year undergraduate degree in relevant discipline
      · Experience creating and working with brand guidelines with a focus on how they translate to the digital experience
      · Strong portfolio that showcases UX and interaction design, visual design aesthetic, and design system thinking
      · Good mix of UX/UI, visual design, and interaction design expertise
      · Proven ability to translate complex design challenges into clear, user-friendly experiences
      · Collaborative, highly-organized, and strong attention to detail
      · Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills

      Nice to Have:
      · Experience managing other designers and/or agency partners
      · Experience with motion design and animation
      · Experience with major, large-scale global digital apps, web sites, or other digital products within the commerce or travel space
      · Ability to balance the science behind the data and the creative idea in front of you
      · Have superior communication and interpersonal skills, including facilitation, presentation, storytelling, critiquing skills

      · Identify future opportunities by keeping up to date with design trends, societal shifts, and new technology
      · Be a thought partner providing recommendations on UX and UI enhancements across all digital touchpoints
      · Have a passionate focus on the needs of the guests around the world using inclusive design skills and methods
      · Partner closely with engineers to understand technology capabilities, bring your designs to life, and achieve high quality shipped product
      · Provides subject matter expertise, including design, functionality and interaction patterns to help meet department and company goals and KPIs

      Measurement & Analytics
      You value data or insight over opinion, by basing decisions on metrics, segment data, and user research findings and insights.
      • Delivers measures, and improves designs based on quantitative and qualitative feedback using various user research methodologies
      • Comfortable with multiple qualitative and quantitative research methods, like surveys, usability testing, multivariate testing, A/B testing, etc.
      • Breaks down designs into options/variables for A/B or multi-variate testing

      Managing Work, Projects, and Policies
      • Provides accurate estimates as to needed time to complete work to feed project plans (and therefore personal deadlines)
      • Successfully manages multiple assignments at once
      • Accepts critique and critiques work of others in a helpful and professional manner

      Additional Responsibilities
      • Works independently with minimal supervision, but knows when issues should be escalated to manager
      • Develops relationships with members of other teams, and leverages those relationships to answer questions
      • Presents work with clarity and confidence; explains complex matters so that others can understand them

      California Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $107,850.00 to $239,250.00 annually.

      Colorado Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $107,850.00 to $217,498.00 annually.

      New York City & Westchester County, NY Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $239,250.00 to $239,250.00 annually.

      Washington Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $107,850.00 to $239,250.00 annually. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible to receive an annual bonus and restricted stock units/stock grants. Employees will accrue 0.04616 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 7 holidays annually.
