The Director of Warehouse Operations oversees property and offsite warehouse operations to ensure all functions are completed, including receiving, requisition and transfer updates, cycle counts, accurate inventory valuation, and stock control. The role manages the full lifecycle of centralized warehouse ordering and supports inventory data management in collaboration with properties and Corporate Centers of Excellence (COEs).
This position works directly with leadership, the Director of Inventory Control, and planning teams to standardize policies and procedures, maintain inventory accuracy, optimize warehouse configurations, improve logistics, and enhance service delivery for stakeholders. The Director leads the development and monitoring of warehouse operations, staffing, budgets, and strategies to drive both short- and long-term profitability while ensuring smooth, efficient, and cost-effective operations.
Additionally, the Director assists the Vice President of Supply Chain with initiatives related to quality, service, receiving issues, and continuous improvement opportunities, including implementation of metrics, SLAs, KPIs, and accountability measures. The role also provides leadership, mentorship, training, and development for warehouse teams across all properties and offsite facilities, fostering growth, strengths-based performance, and improved capabilities through coaching, support, and feedback.
The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree (preferred) and bring at least four years of relevant experience in a large-scale warehouse or receiving environment.
They will have prior experience working in a resort setting and demonstrate success leading large, diverse teams, including union team members.
Strong leadership skills, warehouse systems knowledge, and a proven ability to manage operations, cost initiatives, and process improvements are essential. Bilingual ability is valued, with English as the primary language.
Flexibility to work varied shifts and adapt to the needs of a dynamic, fast-paced operation is also required.

THE JOB:
The Director of Warehouse Operations provides strategic leadership for all warehousing functions across MGM Resorts International. This role oversees efficient receiving, deliveries, inventory distribution, and warehouse operations while ensuring cost-effectiveness, compliance, and quality standards. The Director drives continuous improvement, manages facility-related assets and maintenance, and develops warehouse personnel to achieve company goals. Collaboration with Property Operations, Centers of Excellence, and other stakeholders is essential to deliver effective supply chain performance and exceptional service.
