- Lead the UVNN Product Management, Applications and Technical Support teams and drive market readiness in delivering new and existing products for the global market.
- Work collaboratively with the commercial team (channel sales and market development) to drive commercial strategy and growth for the business.
- Accountable for worldwide supply, demand, revenue, margin, and pricing for product portfolio in partnership with China manufacturing center (CMC); update and present forecasts regularly to management, finance, and manufacturing teams; ensure continuity of supply and maintain attractive lead times for products and services.
- Lead and leverage analysis of business and market trends to define customer requirements, competitive strategy, and business opportunities for increasing customer and business value.
- Manage the overall portfolio roadmap and lifecycle for new products and build corresponding business cases, with emphasis on revenue growth, customer allegiance and profitability for the portfolio.
- Lead teams through new product development processes from concept through commercialization, including voice of customer research, definition of customer and product requirements and value proposition, manage product launches and sales training to achieve timely launches and commercial objectives. Collaborate with the China Innovation Center (CIC) on both NPI and Sustain programs.
- Lead and represent UVNN business from a product management perspective in critical customer and strategic segment interactions to drive commercial and key account success.
- Drive key business processes such as STRAP, AOP, QBR.
- Effectively represent UVNN business at key internal leadership meetings, communicating with colleagues, global leadership team and senior management on progress against objectives and future plans for driving performance.
- Collaborate with other Thermo Fisher functions to apply existing capabilities and resources.

Location/Division Specific Information
The Chemical Analysis Division (CAD) provides a broad mix of analytical instruments and services to a diverse range of end-user markets including Safety & Security, Environmental, Food Safety, Life Sciences, Medical, Energy, Spectroscopy and Minerals and Mining. Its instruments are deployed globally in the field and on the line. CAD operates within a global footprint with more than 4,000 colleagues, delivering solutions to customers that allow for confident, on-the-spot decision-making.
Location: Wilmington, DE / Remote (East coast preferred)

As a Focused General Manager, you will provide leadership and execution to lead the UVNN segment in the Measurement Control and Sample Identification (MCS) Business Unit in CAD. This person will help define the overarching strategy for UVNN to provide solutions for our customers and go-to-market plans in collaboration with the broader executive leadership team. This includes defining the product roadmap, the market access strategy, and the product support strategy.
Business Scope: $95M Revenue, about 100 FTEs globally, with 95% channel sales and 5% direct sales serving thousands of customers across a broad range of applications. This position reports into VP/GM, MCS.
What will you do?Education
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, finance or business
Preferred Qualifications
MBA
10+ years of direct product management or marketing experience in analytical instrumentation, laboratory equipment, or medical devices industry
Ability to form relationships and guide teams which include representatives from multiple functional areas and regions, including R&D, Sales, Program Management, and Manufacturing
Ability to clearly articulate a strategy and operating model, align people to the model and manage opportunities for improvements within the team.
Ability to travel up to 25-30% including international travel.
