      Overview

      First Citizens Middle Market Banking delivers a range of financial solutions to midsize clients through a relationship banking model. The business offers deposit solutions, loans, treasury services and other banking products to manufacturers, distributors and a wide variety of service industries.

      The Director/Managing Director, Relationship Manager - MMB is responsible for acquiring and managing a portfolio of middle market banking relationships. Delivers a full suite of commercial banking products and services including loans, deposits, treasury management services, interest rate products, capital markets, wealth management and other fee income business. Is the primary contact for borrowing needs and provides subject matter expertise for deposit and cash flow management needs. This position works with various sales partners to build and manage full banking relationships.


      Responsibilities

      • Sales - Originate and cultivate middle market banking relationships positioning the Bank as the primary / lead bank. Delivers a full suite of commercial banking products and services including loans, deposits, treasury management services, interest rate products, capital markets, wealth management and other fee income business. Serve as the primary relationship management contact identifying client needs, working with internal industry verticals and product owners to structure customized solutions and ensure high quality service. Understand market, pricing and industry trends operating as a trusted advisor to clients.
      • Client Service - Work collaboratively across the Bank delivering commercial and consumer products and services. Leverage the Bank's digital & technology platforms to deliver exceptional client service. In coordination with marketing, design and execute on targeted marketing efforts on centers of influence and client events. Have in-depth understanding of credit worthiness of clients and bank credit policies to be able to represent them in internal discussions.
      • Risk Management - Focus on ensuring compliance with all regulatory and compliance policies of the Bank.

      Qualifications

      Basic Qualifications:

      Director

      Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience in Middle Market Banking & Credit Knowledge

      -OR-

      High School Diploma or GED and 14 years of experience in Middle Market Banking & Credit Knowledge

      License or Certification Type: Must possess a valid driver's license. Position requires frequent driving to other offices, bank customers, etc. Bank car not provided.

      Managing Director

      Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of experience in Middle Market Banking & Credit Knowledge

      -OR-

      High School Diploma or GED and 14 years of experience in Middle Market Banking & Credit Knowledge

      License or Certification Type: Must possess a valid driver's license. Position requires frequent driving to other offices, bank customers, etc. Bank car not provided.

      Required Qualifications:

      Application of a structured sales process, Providing financial guidance and expertise, Sales planning and forecasting, Financial analysis, Credit underwriting, Knowledge of business lending, deposit and cash management solutions, Knowledge retail and wealth solutions referred, Business development, Networking and building centers of influence

      The base pay for the Director level position is generally between $195,000.00 and $235,000.00. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.

      The base pay for the Managing Director level position is generally between $225,000.00 and $275,000.00. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law.
