- Develops and manages payroll processes and procedures; leads and trains payroll team on new processes and procedures.
- Analyzes and resolves complex payroll process issues for operations; reviews and approves check requests.
- Oversees system issue resolution with IT, Sierra Cedar, and operations to obtain accurate and timely solutions.
- Performs system testing between PeopleSoft/JURIS for PeopleSoft and JURIS enhancements as well as new client implementations.
- Partners with disability operations to ensure financial information is accurately recorded between payroll system, ADP Tax Services, and related systems.
- Develops and implements near-term strategy, planning and communication for workforce absence financial services.
- Ensures staffing levels are consistent with client contract requirements.
- Subject matter expert for JURIS/PeopleSoft payroll enhancements as well as for ADP Tax and Garnishment issues and resolution.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Provides support, guidance, leadership and motivation to promote maximum performance.
- Administers company personnel policies in all areas and follows company staffing standards and training recommendations.
- Interviews, hires and establishes colleague performance development plans; conducts colleague performance discussions.
- Proficient in using payroll software and systems (e.g., ADP, Workday, SAP)
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify trends or discrepancies
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to meet strict deadlines
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
- PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
- Ability to create and complete comprehensive, accurate and constructive written reports

QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Licensing
Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field from an accredited college or university preferred. Relevant certifications, such as Certified Payroll Professional (CCP), preferred.Experience
Eight (8) years of proven experience in payroll operations, preferably in disability management or related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
