      What does this internship consists in?

      Together with Camilo José Cela University, Airbus has developed an exclusive program (DISCOVER) designed for those interested in the best training in new areas of knowledge essential to be able to develop as professionals of the future.

      You will have the opportunity to study a Master, organized in three training blocks, that will allow you to DISCOVER the skills most in demand today. It will be combined with an 11 month internship at Airbus in an area related to your degree, where you can learn and complete your academic background.

      The start of the internship will be in early March 2024, and will last 11 months (August disabled for all purposes). It is a full-time experience (40h/week), in which you will receive an attractive study grant.

      Internship Description

      As a member of the management team, he/she will learn how to lead and engage a production team to meet time, quality, cost and safety requirements, with respect to the country work legal context.

      Tasks & accountabilities:

      Your main tasks and responsibilities will include supporting the following activities::

      • Local shopfloor knowledge.

      • Daily management of process performance, people, machines, materials, methods and measurement of performance and improvement.

      • Manage operations, continues improvements.

      • Team management activities.

      • Supporting an effective process that continuously improves across safety. Quality, cost, delivery and people (SQCDP).

      • Daily/weekly/monthly review SQCDP metrics, issues and countermeasures with support function members and key interfaces ensuring that the appropriate tools and forums are attended to enable performance improvement in line with business requirements.

      • Ensuring that the process meets health & safety and airworthiness requirements and that their team follows the process.

      Required skills

      We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

      • Degree in Aeronautical Engineer, Industrial Engineer and related fields.

      • Production background.

      • Quality Fundamentals knowledge as a plus.

      • Continuous improvement knowledge.

      • Managerial health & safety as a plus.

      • Health and safety fundamentals as a plus.

      • Conduct daily process confirmation audits on standards adherence (tooling calibration follow up, routing maturity).
