Job Description

- Perform routine high throughput screening of SynteinsTM using biophysical techniques.
- Collaborate with team members to accelerate the profiling of potential drug candidates by developing and executing new biochemical and/or functional in vitro assays.
- Maintain a detailed laboratory electronic notebook.
- Prepare and maintain laboratory reagents, cell lines, and instruments.
- Regularly summarize and present progress of work in oral and written format and communicate results as part of a cross-functional team.
- Currently pursuing a degree in biochemistry, molecular biology, bioengineering or related fields.
- Experience with laboratory work involving peptides and/or proteins.
- Strong organizational and laboratory record-keeping abilities.
- Collaborative team member.
- Effective communication skills.
- Experience with biolayer interferometry, SPR, or related biophysical characterization techniques.
- Experience with biochemical assays (e.g. ELISA, FP, TR-FRET).
- Hands-on work with mammalian cell culture maintenance.

Position Summary:
Are you a curious, highly motivated, and collaborative scientist with background in peptides and/or proteins? As part of our growing Discovery team, you will become familiar with diverse and modern biochemical and biophysical assay and screening technologies while contributing to the development of Abiologics’ Synthein™ platform.
