- Provide medical affairs, scientific and clinical expertise for therapy area(s).
- Driver of content and executor of UK medical strategy and research plans for designated therapy area product(s) and pipeline
- Development and management of field tactical plans and scientific activities in close liaison with Field Medical Manager.
- Active member of the extended worldwide medical and brand teams for designated product(s)/indications
- Provide training to the sales force enabling them to understand and convey the scientific benefits of a brand appropriately
- Management of publications
- Health Technology Assessment (HTA) collaboration with health economics team and representation at HTA meetings as required
- Act as a nominated medical signatory for therapy area; compliance with the Code of Practice and internal procedures
- Physician, pharmacist, advanced science degree, or PhD, with 3+ years of relevant experience. Candidates with an undergraduate science degree will also be considered if accompanied by additional research experience or NHS and/or industry experience
- Ability to work co-operatively with others in order to meet group and organisational goals, to consistently deliver on commitments and communicate opinions, facts and thoughts with clarity, transparency and honesty.

- Launch and Lifecycle Management experience
- Real World Data generation
- Strategy development, HTA experience
- Immunology and/or dermatology experience
- Deep scientific understanding
- Excellence in communication and presentation skills; fluent English
- Rich insight into the evolving UK health care environment

- Willingness/ability to travel – (approximately ~15% travel nationally/internationally to attend external congresses, internal conferences, and HCP engagement activities)

Position Summary
This role exemplifies the future of Medical Affairs – innovative products, multi-indication medications, evolving scientific questions, increasing speed of clinical development for pipeline products that fill high unmet needs for patients. This is a fast -paced and dynamic environment internally and externally, with a truly collaborative and passionate team and company, fostering collective responsibility, innovation and agility to better serve our
patients.
This role will focus on the immunology pipeline, with an initial focus on dermatology. This position is office based, with flexible working up to 50% of the time from home. The Disease Area Specialist will ensure that robust Medical Affairs plans are developed and executed on time, on budget, and to strategy, and foster true partnership between external and internal stakeholders.
This opportunity will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to gain launch and project management experience, and will play an instrumental role enhancing the value of the pipeline-portfolio and driving the medical performance of the company’s key growth drivers.
