      Cleans and sanitizes all tableware and cookware used in the service and preparation of meals to the guest cleans and organizes all
      dish areas and storage areas as necessary and as directed; handles the overall cleanliness of the kitchen and service areas and
      assists the cook on the serving line during meal periods.
      Interacts with residents, families, staff and other visitors to the community in a pleasant, respectful and courteous manner.
      Acts as a positive representative of the community at all times.
      Recognizes that residents and families are in fact customers to the business and endeavors to do everything possible to
      make meal periods enjoyable.
      Recognizes that ''No" or "can't-do-it" are business losers and must be removed from the working vocabulary.
      Washes and inspects all dishware and glassware. Stored clean utensil, dishes and glassware in proper places.
      Keeps dishwashing machine and dish room in clean operating condition. Reports any malfunctions or breakdowns of
      equipment to the Dining Services Director.
      Sweeps and mops kitchen area and waitress station and cleans filters over stove area.
      May assist servers with serving and bringing dishes to kitchen when necessary.
      May sets up meal trays, food carts and dining areas as directed.
      May deliver food carts, trays, etc. to designated areas as directed.
      May assist in setting all tables with necessary linens and tableware.

      May assist removing all dirty and unused linens and tableware during the meal.

      Cleans necessary equipment as directed including ovens and grills.
      Safety and Infection Control
      Demonstrates knowledge of infection and exposure control.
      Adheres to safe food and service ware handling procedures.
      Reports any and all contamination or infection exposures in accordance with OSHA and Sonida Senior Living (SSL)
      guidelines, policies and procedures.
      Demonstrates knowledge of emergency policies and procedures.
      Performs all duties in a safe and efficient manner; assures that safety regulations are followed at all times.
      Assists in the daily or scheduled cleaning duties in accordance with established policies and procedures.
      Transfers food trays from carts and dining areas to dishwashing areas, cleans utensils as directed. Returns clean utensils
      to storage areas, disposes of food and food waste in accordance with established policies health ordinances. Reports all hazardous conditions/equipment and accidents/incidents to the Dining Services Director.
      Assists in the preparation of food in accordance with safe food handling procedures.Provides privacy and maintains the confidentiality of all resident care information in accordance to HlPPA regulations.
      Ensures care and security of resident’s personal possessions.
      Reports all complaints and grievances made by residents, family members and visitors to the Food service Director.
      Ensures the residents are free from abuse (physical, mental and sexual), mis-treatment and neglect and reports any such
      instance to the Executive Director.
