  JOB DUTIES:

  • To manage in a timely manner the collection/dispatch of customer orders for GMMCO, GCPL via Road, Sea and Airfreight whilst maintaining Logistics and system management for dispatch at offsite facilities.
  • This requires verifying dispatch requirements by customer on a daily basis and ensure sales orders are aligned to best practice for optimizing load this includes a calculation of container and trailer utilization.
  • Thus, ensuring the recording of CSD (Committed Ship Date) performance and the production of load sheets for all collections.
  • To ensure shipping methods are adhered to with the verification of Letter Of Credits, Customer Incoterms and have a full understanding and adherence to the Dangerous Goods by Air regulations.
  • Need to have a good understanding of freight invoices regarding the clearance, approval and relevance for all goods. Incumbents are required to set and maintain in FDI rates for all products and have the knowledge/experience for checking engine availability, reskid requirements etc.
  • Orders are required to be maintained and booked within Transwide web system with specific timeslots and loaded into within the ECI database which generates a load booking reference.
  • Key aspects of this role are communication which is paramount and maintaining good working relationship with all areas of Production/MLS to ensure ‘finished’ engines are available in time, which includes accurate communication with haulers for arranging collections and a constant/consistent communication with the Account Coordinator Teams to ensure all customer committed ship dates (CSD) are adhered to.
  • They are also required to maintain a professional interface between D&OM and logistics
