- 1-2 years of dispatch experience
- High-volume call center or inbound calling experience
- Pleasant demeanour over the phone and emails
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, TRUX
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Critical and logical thinking skills
Waste Connections of Canada is a leading non-hazardous solid waste management in North America. We are looking for a SAFETY inclined, energetic, autonomous, and proactive team player who is capable of making a difference in
his/her team and community.
Dispatch Duties: The Dispatcher will schedule and coordinate multiple residential and commercial waste collection, involving different lines of business (Front End, Roll-Off, and Residential Trucks), coordinates drivers according to customer requests and company rules, communicates with customers to determine driver needs, schedules and notifies divers of assignments. The Dispatcher monitors drivers’ progress to ensure daily pick-ups are completed, and resolves issues that impede progress. A successful dispatcher has solid knowledge of surrounding geographical area, can demonstrate an eagerness to learn the waste industry and achieves forecasted goals.
