- Maintain knowledge and understanding of current trends, laws, and issues affecting the area of expertise
- Attend educational events to increase professional knowledge
- Complete annual compliance and info security training to understand employees' role in maintaining effective compliance and security programs
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field. (A comparable combination of work experience and training may be substituted for education requirements.)2 or more years previous work experience in the dispute industry. Previous experience with disputes analytics is desired.
Ability to prioritize tasks by effectively managing competing and changing priorities to meet deadlines - Accurate, detail-oriented, and organized with task management
- Ability to analyze and resolve difficult and often complex problems or situations
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to interact effectively with members, staff, vendors, and government regulators
- Strong knowledge and understanding of credit union products, services, policies, and procedures
- Strong knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance
- Strong knowledge and understanding of credit union computer systems and software applications required to perform job duties

OverviewCompensation: $24-$35 per hour

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
As a key member of our dedicated team, the Disputes Analyst plays a crucial role in safeguarding the Credit Union's assets by meticulously analyzing data on dispute cases to prevent losses. This position involves thorough research and investigation of disputed transactions across ACH, ITM, ATM, debit card, and credit bureau platforms. Responsibilities include interviewing fraud victims and suspects, gathering and examining evidence, and discerning facts from collected information. The Disputes Analyst also provides comprehensive information to support Dispute Representatives in resolving disputed transactions.
ResponsibilitiesResearches, detects, and analyzes patterns for all dispute channels. Assist Dispute Representatives to ensure that disputed member transactions for ACH, ATM, ITM, debit card and credit bureau are investigated, processed accurately and on a timely basis. Performs quality assurance functions to ensure accuracy and consistency of data and information being processed. Reviews and analyzes transactions and accounts to detect fraudulent or unauthorized activity or access. Resolves issues or escalates for more complex investigations. Reviews, monitors, and analyzes daily and monthly data reports to identify dispute trends and patterns. Maintains required performance standards for quality, communication, promptness, and identifying fraud trends. Follows service standards, policies and guidelines set forth by Suncoast, Visa International, and the CFPB. Adheres to NACHA policies regarding ACH disputes. Responds as appropriate to credit bureau inquiries. Provides provisional credit as deemed necessary. Performs reversals as appropriate and completes all required correspondence to members in accordance with policies and guidelines set forth by Suncoast, Visa, and the CFPB.
