      Job Description/Responsibilities

      What Will You Be Doing?

      Distillery Operators are responsible for operating distillery equipment, monitoring distillation processes, ensuring product quality, performing routine maintenance, and maintaining cleanliness of the Distillery. Distillery Operators work solo or in small teams, where relationships and teamwork drive the success of the facility.

      Additional Responsibilities for the Distillery Operator include, but are not limited to:

      • Operate distillery equipment used in the fermentation and distillation processes
      • Perform lab tests, measure additives, daily cleaning, physical labor and mathematical calculations
      • Adhere to all Personal Safety, Food Safety, Quality and Environmental Policies and Practices. Own the standard operating procedures for the job and perform in accordance with standards
      • Continuously seek ways to improve performance and quality-driven actions that lead to award-winning results

      What Are We Looking For?

      • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
      • Ability to climb stairs and ladders, bend, kneel and squat
      • Ability to pick up and/or move objects up to 50 pounds without assistance
      • Ability to work in various weather conditions, both indoors and outdoors including inclement weather
      • Hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for operating machinery
      • Detail oriented and demonstrated ability to perform work with a high degree of accuracy
      • Ability to work ovetime if necessary
      • Ability to work any shift, with bi-annual shift preference determined by seniority
        • 1st shift: 7am-3pm
        • 2nd shift: 3pm-11pm
        • 3rd shift: 11pm-7am

      Qualifications/Requirements

      Preferred Qualifications

      • 2 or more years’ experience in a distillery or manufacturing environment
      • Ability to quickly learn new systems/processes
      • Strong communication and teamwork skills

      What Can You Look Forward To?

        • Minimum starting pay: $26.51(based on position), with yearly increases of $1 for the first 3-years of employment
        • 12 paid holidays and vacation time available from hire date
