      Business Job Title: Distribution Center Manager

      Job Summary: The DC Manager oversees the operations of receiving and storing all inventories, along with shipping customer orders. They create and drive the vision of the department(s) to ensure the best customer satisfaction. The DC Manager continually looks for opportunities to improve employee welfare while striving for the safest and most efficient processes. They work with the logistics team to ensure seamless transitions of goods between vendors and customers and collaborate with production departments to ensure materials are supplied on time as needed. The DC Manager continually builds strong relationships with all departments and locations.

      Job Responsibilities:

      • Uphold and model safe work practices. Proactively seek opportunities to improve safety.
        • Ensure all safety guidelines are being followed.
        • Responsible for OSHA required safety inspections.
        • Conduct investigation of safety incidents
        • Establish and maintain a proactive approach to safety by inspecting all processes and the environment.
        • Guide all team members to always look for safety improvements.
      • Manage multiple departmental budgets.
        • Approves all PO and invoices for departmental budgets.
      • Manage all staffing levels at the site distribution center.
        • Set Hiring and Termination requirements with supervisors following the company policies and procedures.
      • Manage all KPIs for all warehouse departments. Ensure goals are met and modify when appropriate.
        • Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Inventory
      • Oversees multiple inventory systems and configuration of those systems.
        • WMS, Gains, must also work with ASI (ERP system)
      • Establish and maintain an open communication process with all warehouse employees.
        • Communication meetings
        • Round table meetings
      • Provide leadership and direction with emphasis on team building.
      • Guide supervisors to ensure there is a positive work environment for all employees.
        • Driving front line obsession.
        • Support all associates with policies and practices.
      • Overall accountability of all inventories in the warehouse and the cycle count program.
        • Manage multiple audits annually.
      • Works with sister companies to ensure shipments of those facilities are completed safely, properly, and in the most efficient manner possible.
      • Ensure all legal requirements are followed for shipping domestically and internationally.
      • Oversee and continually look for process improvements and create multiyear plans for growth.
      • Work cross-functionally with other department managers.
      • Displays management courage to uphold policies, processes, and appropriate behavior.
      • Manage lease contracts for equipment and other needed tools to perform warehouse operations.
      • Oversee purchasing of warehouse supplies and equipment. Working directly with suppliers and contractors.
      • Assist in managing and updating company policies and procedures related to operations.
      • Conduct annual goal setting and reviews for all direct reports.
        • Oversee all reviews for direct and indirect employees.
      • Owner of ISO documents for all related departments.
      • Owner of PIV training programs.

      Job Requirements:

      • 5 to 8 years as a Warehouse Manager or Sr Warehouse Supervisor, with 3 to 5 years managing employees.
      • Experience in a high volume, short lead time warehouse.
      • BA in related field or equivalent experience in managing a distribution center.
      • Must have strong data analytics skills.
      • Must have strong interpersonal skills.
      • Must have strong organizational skills.
      • MS office 365
      • Management and understanding of a WMS system.
      • Previous budgeting experience preferred.
      • Demonstrated structured problem-solving and analytical skills.
      • Knowledge of Lean concepts, 5S, and Continuous Improvement practices.

      Physical Requirements:

      • The ability to move safely throughout all areas of the building, including the office and floor as needed, with or without accommodation.
      • Able to stand and/or sit for a prolonged
      • Work in an office environment using a computer for extended periods of time.
