Job Description

- Food Safety and Quality: Support, manage, or implement Food Safety and Product Quality standards.
- Operational Monitoring: Monitor warehousing and production activities through matrix analysis, DCS/JDE resolution, process improvements, and operational meetings. Ensure that orders arrive and are dispatched on time to appropriate destinations and in expected quantities.
- Workforce Education: Educate the workforce about industry competitiveness, pinpointing differentiation points in our products and service mixes, customer service levels, and tailored distribution programs. Solicit ideas for enhancing the Group's competitiveness through higher efficiency and service levels.
- Industry Leadership: Achieve and maintain industry leadership in distribution, improve productivity, accuracy, reduce costs, safety, and maintain high customer satisfaction. Secure buy-in for continually developing creative and innovative product handling methods. Keep up with expanding plant production and a complex product mix, receiving inbound loads from various production facilities and redistributing finished goods directly to customers and the forward FDC network using rail and truck.
- Staff Management: Manage staffing, development, and performance management of warehouse workers. Communicate warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements.
- Bottleneck Identification: Identify warehousing bottlenecks and work with cross-functional teams to create systems and/or trained-focused approaches to expanding throughput before bottlenecks develop. Convey the distribution center's role in the customer service chain, track and identify critical disruptions, and assign work groups to mitigate or eliminate unplanned occurrences.

Summary
This role will provide leadership and direction in the establishment and implementation of Group goals/objectives directed at effective, efficient customer order fulfillment, production unit support, redistribution of products, staff development at the production and warehouse facility. Develop line management staff skills in employee motivation, functional training, interpersonal and interdepartmental work team-building effectiveness, CIP training, goal achievement, budget training and cultural diversity issues. Through staff, facilitate effective implementation of department and Food Group programs designed to enhance customer service performance and operating efficiency.
