As a Distribution Clerk supporting our manufacturing site, you will be trusted with performing a combination of manual and clerical shipping and/or receiving duties which may require the use of hand trucks, forklifts, and other devices, as well as computers to maintain data.

      In this role, a typical day will include:

      • Receiving incoming materials or preparing materials for shipment

      • Verifying quantity, weight, and conformance of materials

      • Preparing records of materials shipped & bills of lading, and routing materials to their destinations.

      • May layout, fabricate, and assemble nonstandard shipping crates and boxes, and prepare parts and tooling for special shipment

      • Bringing up technical issues and systemic needs/challenges in a timely manner

      • Requires strong attention to detail and heightened focus on quality and compliance along with strict adherence to Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Current Good Documentation Practices (cGDP), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and report all discrepancies immediately

      • Responsible for adhering to safety policies/procedures and ensuring work areas are clean and free of hazards or dangerous conditions under health, safety, and environmental standards

      WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

      • High School Diploma or Equivalent

      • The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English

      • Work hours: Monday – Friday; 7:00 AM CST – 4:00 PM CST

      • Travel Requirements: 0%; No Travel Required

      • Sponsorship & Relocation: Not Available
