      Basic Purpose

      Operational support for purchasing team and other departments as available, including use of all material handling equipment to process supplies inbound and outbound, verifying receipts against packing lists, maintaining supply aisle, errands, projects and any additional duties that arise in day-to-day operations.

      Essential Job Responsibilities

      • Receive, sort, verify and put away supplies as delivered by various suppliers; extensive forklift work (load/unload) and extender work (hanging /pulling materials).
      • Maintain supply aisle, label/sort/consolidate, 5S, deliver supplies to areas as needed
      • Sort pallets for re-use – manual lifting/stacking pallets of various sizes up to 50 lbs.
      • Pick supply orders, prepare for shipping and deliver to dock
      • Run errands in company vehicles (pick up/deliver supplies and paperwork, orders, etc.)
      • Various projects as needed in purchasing department as well as all other departments
      • Assist in other departments as workload demands, including some overtime
      • PINC software

      Education & Experience Requirements

      • Ability to operate material handling equipment (forklift, extender). Extensive use of both pieces of equipment
      • Hands-on experience and knowledge of various packaging and shipping materials commonly used in distribution environment
      • Ability to recognize and physically sort pallets to be re-used by shipping departments
      • Willingness to make justifiable decisions, take ownership of processes and responsibilities, and see what needs to be done
      • Must be available for overtime when mandatory/necessary
      • Valid driver’s license required
