Job Description

- Within a Primary Health Care framework and in accordance with Agency and Organisational policies and legal requirements the Diversional Therapy Assistant will provide support for, and assist, the Adult Day Centre (ADC) Coordinator/Diversional Therapist by undertaking a range of duties involved with planning and implementing individual client care, activities and group programs.
- Work in a small team and enjoy multi-tasking
- Client centred care focus and activity planning
- Permanent role with ongoing training and development

Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle.

Current First Aid Certificate.

Medium Rigid (MR) class Licence and Ancillary Certificate (for driving Public Passenger vehicles).
- Current Driver’s Licence.
- Conviction checks in the following areas:
- crimes of violence
- sex related offences
- serious drug offences
- crimes involving dishonesty
- serious traffic offences
- Identification check
- Disciplinary action in previous employment check.

The role:

The Central Coast Adult Day Centre:
This position is based at the Central Coast Adult Day Centre in Ulverstone. Please note that a medium rigid licence is not an essential requirement so please feel free to apply if you think you have what it takes to work in the leisure and lifestyle area.
Experience working with aged and/or disabled people would be well regarded.
Details of Appointment
Permanent, part time, day worker position working 5 hours per fortnight, commencing from 29 April 2024
*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant
Salary: $65,236 to $68,925 pro rata, per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
