      WHAT WE OFFER

      Covestro’s DEI team is currently seeking a summer intern for our North American headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA. The paid internship will last approximately 12 weeks, starting mid-May.

      The Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Intern will play a critical role in activating strategy at Covestro. This role will have the opportunity to learn and grow through support and creation of DEI communications, tools, and Employee Resource Group support while being aligned with Covestro’s three core values: We are curious, courageous and colorful. With this unique philosophy, we are pushing the boundaries of what is possible and striving for something better – day after day. Within this role, you will be a member of a team working on global assignments engaging with different cultures and people from different backgrounds.

      Responsibilities include:

      • Diversity recognitions (US and Global)
      • ERG partnership and support
      • DEI communications (multi-modal)
      • DEI teams/SharePoint site content creation and maintenance
      • Support of leadership development programs
      • Support of DEI educational programs

      Work Environment:

      • Opportunity to participate on video meetings occurring in international time zones

      Knowledge & Skills:

      • Awareness and appreciation of different perspectives
      • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and online research
      • Excellent writing and grammatical skills
      • Ability to work both independently (once trained) and with a team
      • Possess excellent critical thinking and analytical skills
      • Must be able to maintain confidentiality
      • Detail oriented, fast learner, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

      WHAT YOU OFFER

      Basic Qualifications:

      • Currently enrolled in Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or Communications
      • Candidates at the undergraduate level must have completed their sophomore year of studies

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • GPA of 3.0 or higher
      • Prior experience facilitating group discussions
      • Prior experience compiling and analyzing data
