      SUMMARY:

      Seeking a forward-thinking, detail-oriented Division Billing Analyst to support our evolving Commercial Services team. This position plays a critical role in the strategic pricing function, driving accuracy, competitiveness, and efficiency across domestic and foreign railroad markets. You will serve as a vital connector—bridging data, technology, and human relationships to deliver customer-focused solutions in a rapidly transforming railroad and logistics industry.

      This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of data analytics, strategic pricing, and digital process enhancement. Success in this position will require agility, innovation, and a passion for continuous learning.

      RESPONSIBILITIES:

      • Own and continuously improve the management of domestic and foreign pricing publications, including public tariffs and accessorial charges.
      • Drive end-to-end pricing lifecycle processes: from initiation to renewal, and related performance analysis of the pricing document.
      • Work closely with internal billing colleagues to ensure efficient rating and support maintaining a low estimates volume.
      • Leverage CRM and data platforms to assist the Sales & Marketing team to extract and analyze carloads & revenue, shipment, and customer behavior trends to support commercial decisions.
      • Develop standardized process with supporting business partners to monitor market conditions and provide strategic rate intelligence to proactively support revenue retention and growth opportunities.
      • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external partners (including connecting railroad and foreign line counterparts) to foster mutually beneficial solutions to support accurate invoice generation.
      • Resolve rate disputes using data-driven methodologies and facilitate fast, customer-centric outcomes.
      • Champion innovation by identifying opportunities to automate and streamline pricing workflows and documentation.
      • Contribute to strategic industry discussions by representing the company at association meetings and conferences when applicable.
      • Ensure data integrity across pricing and rate databases and drive continuous improvements in data governance.
      • Monitor index-based pricing mechanisms and ensure timely adjustments.
      • Lead or support special projects that align with broader commercial and organizational transformation goals.

      REQUIRED SKILLS AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

      • Exceptional communicator with strong written and verbal skills, fully capable of converting complex ideas into actionable insights.
      • Analytical thinker with a keen sense for data accuracy and strategic implications.
      • Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
      • Comfortable with advanced Excel functionality, CRM platforms, and business intelligence tools (Power BI, RailConnect Advanced Analytics).
      • Quick to adopt emerging technologies and explore tools such as AI-driven analytics, predictive pricing models, and automated contract workflows.
      • Working knowledge of railroad commercial practices, including pricing, tariffs, interline settlement, railroad accounting rules, and marketing.
      • Familiarity with Wabtec-based systems like TMS, RMS, and RCM, is highly valued.
      • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
      • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
      • Curious, growth-minded, and solutions-oriented with a commitment to operational excellence.
      • Ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with diverse internal and external customers.

      REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR CREDENTIALS:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Data Analytics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
      • 3–5 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or railroad industry preferred.
      • Demonstrated experience with pricing strategies, digital tools, and stakeholder management in a commercial setting.
