Job Description

- Communicate with LTL team, manifest, maintenance, IT and members of management to ensure effective processes at all times.
- Communicate via e-mail with carriers, dispatchers, sales team to schedule FTL/LTL pickups, assist to resolve shipping issues, special handling and additional inquiries pertaining to the LTL department.
- Responsible for making sure all shipped loads are systematically closed out in the WMS at the end of shift.
- Responsible for filing records, pulling files as requested and emailing/scanning them to the necessary parties.
- Report all issues to leadership and upper management.
- Report all count discrepancies from the scanner's paperwork. i.e., no pallet count or piece counts.
- Always maintain a professional and courteous attitude.
- Monitor order status to assure on time shipping.
- Maintain “Tour Ready” clean and safe work area at all times.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Regular attendance is an essential function of the Document Clerk position. Coordinate all absences with Supervisor to ensure desk coverage.
- The ability to understand basic English.
- The ability to lift up to 70 pounds is required along with being able to bend, stoop, stand, walk and twist as needed to perform the job.
