      Position Summary

      An exciting opportunity for an experienced document controller with well-rounded construction knowledge and experience using systems within the industry. The suitable candidate will have extensive document control experience within the Construction industry, including infrastructure and building projects, and can work collaboratively with different teams within construction businesses to ensure quality assurance is met through document management.

      Your Day-to-Day

      There will be no standard day-to-day agenda. Instead, following initial training, the role will require a highly adaptive person to efficiently perform tasks and arrange and manage resources efficiently and effectively.

      • Collaborate with the development and delivery teams to look for efficiencies and continuous improvements at the project level and sitewide in the use of the CDE.
      • Implement the CDE Protocol where and when required.
      • Administer the CDE environment on a project-by-project basis including managing distribution groups, workflows, security rights, and activating and deactivating accounts.
      • Develop a CDE auditing methodology to enable continuous improvement reviews and quality assurance checks across sitewide, infrastructure, and public realm and plot lead projects and periodically report accordingly.
      • Upload corporate documents to the required collaborative centralised areas within the CDE.
      • Respond to ad-hoc system administration requests from internal and wider project team members, including Contractors and design teams.
      • Updating protocol documents and liaising with the project team to find the best setup for the CDE.
      • Reviewing core processes integrated with the CDE and advising on potential improvements such as workflow alterations to enhance system and project efficiency.
      • Adding users, establishing the correct access rights, and organising training.
      • Managing requests for changes to the project, adding new users and companies, managing workflows, and updating folder structures.
      • Offering support and guidance to users and development teams across all projects.
      • Review processes across multiple projects to advise where system standardisation can enhance efficiency.
      • Implementing metadata into the CDE to improve data quality on project documents and drawings e.g., RIBA stage attributes and POIs.
      • Producing automated periodic reporting tools on drawing submissions and statuses to internal project and design teams through construction stages.
      • Setting up access rights to folders and project forms including RFIs and design change requests.

      What You Bring to The Team

      • Qualifications
        • Required - Degree in a related field including Engineering, Computer Science, BIM, Architecture, Information Management, or in an appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.
        • Desirable – Working towards or achieved a professional qualification in a related field of study.
      • Knowledge/Experience
        • Experience in using a range of Common Data Environment Platforms.
        • Proficient in the use of Excel (equations and macros).
        • Good communication and report-writing skills.
        • Knowledge of BIM, e.g., CDEs, General Information Management, ISO 19650 Part 1 and 2.
        • Logical and creative problem-solver, capable of working in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment.
        • Can interpret requirements and present data in a clear and compelling way, using graphical representations and data visualizations.
        • Project management skills.
        • Able to maintain high productivity when out of the office environment.
        • Strong work ethic and highly versatile.
      • Desirable
        • Knowledge of GIS systems and standards.
        • Understanding of data, i.e., schemas, databases, APIs, etc.
        • Experience with systems integrations.
        • Experience with Agile Development project management methodologies.
