- Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM with the option to work remotely on Wednesdays & Fridays. Please submit a cover letter expressing your interest in the position.
- Wage: $24.00 to $27.00 per hour based upon years of experience
- Accurately enter and process donations into the donor management system (Bloomerang) within 72 hours of receipt
- Ensure meticulous attention to detail to maintain accurate and consistent donor records
- Collaborate closely with Development team members to ensure timely and efficient gift processing and acknowledgment and to personalize communication for key donors
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor and gift records, including contact information, communication preferences, donor comments and notes; perform data clean up as necessary
- Create queries, exports and customized reports for development and communications purposes
- Create new donor records as needed, and research and update donor information such as email, telephone, spouse names, relationships, etc.
- Serve as a contact person for other development staff on the use of Bloomerang
- Produce weekly gift and pledge reports for Development Team analysis
- Assist with developing and documenting business practices to continually improve Development operations processes and procedures
- Maintain accurate records in Bloomerang Volunteer Database
- Provide timely responses to all inquiries from donors regarding giving histories, gift receipts, and other concerns related to financial contributions
- Provide outstanding customer service to all internal and external customers
- Develop and generate regular reports on donor metrics, campaign results, giving trends, and other key performance indicators to inform development strategy
- Analyze donor data to identify trends, assess retention rates, segment donors, and support strategies for donor acquisition, engagement and retention
- Ability to work with flexibility, efficiency, and enthusiasm, both individually and as part of a team
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet advancement goals and objectives
- Minimum of two years of experience as a database specialist working in a non-profit organization.
- High School/GED degree is required; AAS in data analytics or database management is preferred
- Database Maintenance: Technical aptitude and experience with relational databases and database management systems (DBMS) Bloomerang or Raiser’s Edge preferred.
- Data Entry and Reporting: Strong data entry skills and proficiency in creating and analyzing reports.

The specialist maintains up-to-date donor records and is responsible for accurate and timely data entry, processing of charitable contributions, and generating donor acknowledgments and reports. Success in this role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong data management skills, and the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. The Donor Database Specialist reports to the Donor Relations & Events Manager.
