      FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt

      Status: Full time (Benefit eligible)

      Pay Rate: $16.25/hr.

      Location: Visalia Donor Center

      Reports to: Donor Engagement Manager

      Days/Hours: 40 hours (must be available for scheduled shifts to meet site operational needs, including weekends and holidays)


      Job Summary:

      The Donor Engagement Officer is responsible for providing excellent internal and external customer service, accurately registering donors, answering incoming phone calls and donor inquiries about the organization. As well assisting in the conversion of donors to other types of blood donation, when needed.


      Essential Job Duties:


      • Maintains positive and professional customer service skills while greeting donors, interacting with CCBC staff, media and visitors.
      • Must accurately register all donors.
      • Professional in handling incoming phone calls to CCBC. Route calls to proper extensions or communicate information to appropriate person or department accurately and efficiently.
      • Assists with Apheresis Recruitment as needed through calling, conversions of donors to other product donations, and rebooking as appropriate.
      • Must be able to follow written procedures and policies.
      • Be flexible in schedule of hours worked, including overtime, scheduled weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts when necessary.
      • Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position.

      • Must comply with all applicable CCBC policies and procedures.

      Requirements

      Required Qualifications and Skills:

      • Must be vaccinated for COVID-19 (booster not required)
      • Customer service experience, strong data entry, computer skills, with phone system and/or multiple phone line experience a plus.
      • Must be organized, creative, resourceful and able to handle fast paced multi-tasking environment, punctual and able to manage their time efficiently.
      • Proven history of handling potentially challenging situations appropriately, professionally, kindly, and quickly.
      • Must be a clear, effective communicator with excellent verbal/writing skills to accomplish high standards of both internal/external customer service whether giving direction to others or receiving direction from management, modeling excellence as a team player.
      • Must maintain a positive/professional attitude and appearance at all times.
      • Ability to travel to other facility sites and work varying days, shifts and hours.

      Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

      • High school graduate with some college or degree in Marketing, Public Relations, and/or related field.
      • An intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel
