Amazon India is seeking dedicated, hardworking, analytical candidates with a proven track record of performance and results-oriented approach, to join the Denied Party Screening team in Bangalore, India. The DPS team ensures that an effective compliance program is in place to validate each of Amazon business has identified their regulatory responsibilities, established processes and controls to understand current status of adherence to compliance requirement as well as potential gaps to be fixed.
Candidates who will be part of this team will be responsible for a wide range of duties related to investigation and elimination of online eCommerce risk. They will focus on accomplishing production goals and will work closely with the Operations management team in DPS. The DPS Risk Specialist role relies on excellent judgment to plan and accomplish goals while working with limited supervision. Problem-solving and analytical skills are used to authenticate and make determinations related to complex transactions or accounts. Nearly all decisions are expected to be made independently and with a high degree of accuracy following standard operating procedures (SOP’s).
The DPS Risk Specialist will be required to engage in frequent written and verbal communication with cross functional team members, risk engineers and other company associates to accomplish goals.
Key job responsibilities
§ Conduct multiple investigation types including denied entities/individuals and sanctions
§ Participate in ongoing customer due diligence
§ Investigate denied entities/individuals and sanctions potential matches that arise from Amazon’s screening solution to support various business units
§ Assist in identifying gaps and training opportunities for escalations that come through the operations and compliance workflows
§ Drive operational metrics reconciliation with the DPS leadership teams
About the team
DPS is responsible for implementing global standards and procedures for screening to ensure Amazon does not conduct unauthorized business with a denied party or sanctioned country or region. The vision of the Amazon DPS program is to ensure that 1+ billion Amazon accounts spanning across consumers, sellers, developers, employees, and all other Amazon entities/individuals, are not a denied party, located or incorporated in a sanctioned region or country, or owned or controlled by or subject to the jurisdiction of the government of a sanctioned country. The DPS program is enabled by Amazon technologies built to mitigate risk and to scale for growth.§ Must possess bachelor’s degree
§ Prior investigation or Compliance experience
§ Excellent written and spoken English language skills
§ Maintain the confidentiality of all information obtained during the investigations process
§ Maintain individual accountability for performance metrics, ensuring high standards of efficiency and accuracy against established benchmarks
§ Ability to identify, communicate, and champion process improvement opportunities which will benefit internal and external customers
§ Has hands-on experience in investigations, denied entities/individuals and sanctions operations within a large company or financial services environmentAbout the company
