What to expect:u00A0Martin Marietta is seeking a Dragline Operator to join our team. The ideal individual will be safety conscious, dependable, and motivated. This individual is responsible for safely and efficiently operating an electric power-driven dragline with dragline bucket to excavate or move sand, gravel, mud, or other materials. The Dragline Operator will manage the dragline excavator and assist in the maintenance and service of the machine. Hours are 7 am - 5 pm including weekends and overtime as necessary.u00A0A typical day for a(n) Dragline Operator may include:u00A0u2022 u00A0 u00A0Operating an electric power-driven dragline with dragline bucket to excavate/move sand, gravel, mud, or other materialsu00A0
u2022 u00A0 u00A0Conducting daily pre-shift inspections and documentation of the dragline operation and working conditionsu00A0
u2022 u00A0 u00A0Generating work requests using the maintenance planning program
u2022 u00A0 u00A0Operating mobile and plant equipment to facilitate the set-up and operation of the dragline
u2022 u00A0 u00A0Operating other mobile and plant equipment, including skid steer, front end loader, etc. in a safe manner if needed
u2022 u00A0 u00A0Adhering to MSHA and plant safety rules and regulations
u2022 u00A0 u00A0Aiding in dragline repairs and relevant maintenance
u2022 u00A0 u00A0Maintaining housekeeping in areas of responsibility
u2022 u00A0 u00A0Aiding in the training of co-workers as needed
u2022 u00A0 u00A0Performing other duties as assigned by supervisor
You may be a good fit if you:
u2022 u00A0 u00A0Possess a High School Diploma or GED equivalentu00A0
u2022 u00A0 u00A0Have previous experience operating a dragline or equivalent experience to perform the responsibilities associated with this position
u2022 u00A0 u00A0Have 3 yearsu2019 experience operating heavy mobile equipment (preferred)
u2022 u00A0 u00A0Knowledge in electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic operations (preferred)About the company
