Job Description

- Review and summarize case related documents, including use of document review platforms.
- Prepare chronologies and other document review related projects.
- Prepare and open files in the firm’s proprietary case management software.
- Photocopy and scan documents into case management software for use by team.
- Conduct internet research.
- Provide excellent client service to all team members.
- Some related work or volunteer experience
- Previous experience in a law firm or other client service environment, including university clubs/organizations, is a plus
- Excellent PC skills, including but not limited to proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Experience with Adobe and/or Nuance PDF
- Strong time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a team environment
- This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
The Paralegal Co-op is a direct support professional who works under the direct supervision of an Attorney, Department Paralegal, Manager of Paralegal Programs and/or the Chief of Practice Services to complete administrative responsibilities, implement improvements for practice operations, contribute to client projects through basic legal research and document support, and perform various special projects including attending live court proceedings and client related meetings.
