Job Description
- Req#: 11758
- Provide technical guidance to maximize rig performance and well stability based on interpreted results of routine and specialized testing.
- Interpret drilling fluid programs and follow mix recommendations for each well.
- Maintain a good working relationship with rig personnel and assist in specific operation’s planning and drilling optimization.
- Troubleshoot and provide expertise as well problems arise.
- Schedule the drilling fluid sack and bulk materials to location.
- Maintain and supervise an adequate inventory of palletized and bulk products that are available at rig site based on fluid program and anticipated well conditions.
- Track and report on daily material usage.
- Generate complete drilling fluid report on a daily basis.
- Create and submit a reconciled recap that includes well data and lessons learned at the end of the well.
- Mentor lower level technicians and assist in their succession plan as their experience level grows.
- Assist in training and mentoring of new employees.
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field
- 4 years of experience in the development of drilling fluids operations or systems/technology for oilfields
- The position requires 15% international travel to well sites in Colombia and Mexico.
