- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferred BSME
- 6+ months of experience with any vehicle underbody subsystems (brakes, driveline, suspension, transmission, steering, wheels, or tires).
- Six-Sigma Training (Black Belt or Green Belt Certification, Minitab
- Strong Engineering and Problem-Solving Skills: root cause identification and analysis, containment action identification and implementation.
- Vehicle Warranty systems knowledge of ECB, BSAQ, GSAR, or similar
- Ability in work in a fast-paced environment to support quick decision making
- Familiarity with CAD systems
- Strong Interpersonal, Teamwork and Presentation Skills
- Proficiency in MS Office Tools for documentation and presentation

- Develop/Manage/Own Balanced Single Agenda for Quality (BSAQ) roadmaps to deliver the Vehicle Line's and functional warranty objectives (R/1000 and CPU)
- Review incoming warranty claims through GSAR every day. This would include the review of customer and dealership comments.
- Bin claims into proper binning categories and generate BSAQ projects for these claims or add them to existing BSAQ projects.
- Contact dealership/s for parts return and review returned parts for root cause analysis in order to develop Interim Containment and Permanent Corrective Actions.
- Support assembly plant with Stop Ships/Stop Builds, Campaigns, Audits, Root Cause Analysis and other Quality issues.
- Identify and deliver current model design projects with support from core or VFG leader in Dearborn
- Initiate Change Requests (CR's) for design changes and manage through the change control process
- Lead plant trials for prove-outs for quality, cost reductions, and Supplier requests for changes.
- Escalate any help needed to contain for fix issues through the Vehicle Functional Group QB's and Functional Quality Reviews.
- Lead engineering commodity changes for future minor product launches and lead cost reduction actions in current production vehicles.
- Support Variability Reduction Team (VRT) for specific sub-systems and work closely with Supplier partners for sub-system components to address quality concerns
- Make presentations to various levels of upper management (weekly VRT report out, Vehicle Quality Reviews, Engineering Managers’ reviews)
- Support plant in resolving ergo issues, First Time through issues, etc. as required

We are looking for Driveline Engineers that are passionate about all thing’s driveline related. You will be working with a team of Plant Vehicle Team (PVT) Engineers that are part of Ford Motor Company's Product Development organization and are co-located at the Kentucky Truck Assembly Plant. The PVT Underbody Engineering Team has several responsibilities associated with analyzing and fixing quality issues on components shipped into the assembly plant, and processes within the Vehicle Assembly Plant and integrated remote build centers. As part of the Underbody Engineering PVT Team, you will be working with multi-functional teams to drive Best-In-Class Quality for critical safety components and systems
