      Gundersen Health System is looking to add a casual on-call driver to our team who provide non-emergency transportation for discharged patients from Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center to their homes and/or nursing homes.

      What You'll Do:

      As a Driver, you will provide non-emergency transportation for patient discharges from Gundersen to their home or nursing home. You will be responsible for providing safe transportation of patients via wheelchair van including loading, securing, and unloading while utilizing company supplied smart phone and tablet for dispatch, navigation and proper documentation of trip records.

      What's Available:

      • Casual On-Call (non-benefit eligible)

      • Typical on-call shifts will be 2-3 evenings per week from 5p-10p and approximately every 4th weekend from 10a-5p

      • The on-call pay rate is $3.00 per assigned hour.The on-call pay rate will be paid for the entire time an employee is scheduled to be on-call without reduction for any hours actually worked.

      • Employees called in to work and badged in, ready to begin work will be compensated a minimum of 2 hours.

      • Called-in starting pay of $15.83/hr and up, based on your years of experience, along with applicable shift differentials

      What You'll Need:

      • Valid driver’s license in Wisconsin, Minnesota, or Iowa

      • Basic Red Cross or equivalent training in first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) within 60 days of hire

      • Customer service skills with demonstrated ability to show courtesy and respect to all clients, patients, caregivers, facility staff persons, and other drivers

      • Prior work experience in a healthcare or hospital setting is desired
