      Job Overview

      M Health Fairview Emergency Medical Services is now seeking a MedKab Driver and you may be eligible for a $1,000 sign on bonus! Fairview Medical Transportation offers emergency medical services for a changing, technology-driven world. We are a Twin Cities leader in emergency and scheduled transportation. Our headquarters facility, located in St. Paul, was built in 2010 in partnership with the St. Paul Port Authority.We support our community by providing more than 30,000 calls annually. Our ambulance teams are staffed by some of the most expert paramedics and EMTs in the region, helping to make M Health Fairview EMS a leader in Minnesota for emergency and non-emergency ambulance service.

      Hours: Full-time (1.0 FTE, 80 hours per two weeks)

      Shift: Days/Eves/Every Other Weekend

      Pay: $20/hour starting rate

      This position is benefit-eligible!

      This is a great opportunity for a new EMT to get into the field!

      • Assists and secures wheelchair and ambulatory passengers in and out of a wheelchair van at the appropriate location per established guidelines. Provides timely, safe and conscientious transportation for the mobility impaired.
      • Completes required paperwork daily with a high degree of accuracy.
      • Applies passenger assistance practices and procedures required by MN State Regulations to ensure patients are transported without injury.
      • Maintains vehicle cleanliness and preparedness in accordance with department policies and state regulations.
      • Completes daily vehicle inspections on the assigned vehicle per established
      • Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served Communicates in a respective manner.
      • Ensures a safe, secure environment.
      • Follows and maintains knowledge of all relevant laws, regulation, policies, procedures and standards.
      • Fosters a culture of improvement, efficiency and innovative thinking.

      Required

      License/Certification/Registration

      • Valid Class D Drivers license and DMV record that meets the organization’s insurability requirements.
      • Meets the MN DOT requirements for special transportation.

      Preferred

      Experience: 5 years of previous driving experience for medical transportation

      Additional Requirements

      Knowledge:

      • Able to safely drive a van. Knowledge of Twin City area streets/highways

      Required: Physically able to push/pull 175-300 pounds up an incline.
