      The CDL Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation and delivery of NBP windows and doors in such a manner that maintains and promotes excellent customer relations. The Driver will be operating company vehicle(s) that are over 26,000 pounds GVWR.

      Role and Responsibilities

      • Reviews load sheet and load for the day’s deliveries. Loads truck and secures the load.
      • Inspects vehicle daily per guidelines prior to use. Informs direct supervisor of any defects.
      • Fuels the vehicle
      • Transports materials and products in a safe and efficient manner. Observing all DOT regulations, rules of the road and defensive driving techniques.
      • Drives only where safe and appropriate.
      • Safely unloads materials, checks quality, reviews packing slip with customer and secures customer signature.
      • Deals with customers in a courteous and professional fashion, and accommodates customers’ requests whenever possible.
      • Picks up materials from vendors and NBP facilities, checks and verifies quality and quantity of materials before receipt.
      • Returns to plant and unloads vehicle.
      • Rotates functions with the department as needed and assigned by Supervisor. Works as a contributing member of the department team.
      • Performs all functions according to sound safety principles, company policies and procedures. Notifies Shipping Supervisor of any existing or potential safety issues.
      • Completes all necessary paperwork and documentation neatly, timely and accurately including driver’s logs, timecards, etc.
      • Communicates effectively across and within company Dept.’s.
      • Maintains good housekeeping in the department.
      • Overnight trips maybe required.
      • Adhere to all safety rules including but not limited to the PPE requirements
      • Ability to follow and adhere to the company values: Family, Quality, Integrity, Teamwork, Resolve
      • All other work as assigned

      Qualifications and Education Requirements

      • · High school diploma or equivalent
      • · Must maintain a valid CDL Driver’s License and DOT medical card in good standing.
      • · Must meet company DMV record standards, and have a valid driving history with 2 to 3 years of prior CDL Driving experience.
      • · Ability to follow directions and instructions
      • · Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors
      • · Detail orientated

      Physical Requirements

      • Ability to lift and or carry up and or push/pull to 75 pounds
      • Ability to stand and or walk for up to 8 hours per day
      • The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
      • The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.
      • The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
      • The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
      • Ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others understand
      • Ability to exert yourself physically over long periods of time
      • Ability to make and sustain repetitive motions with hands, arms and or legs

      Preferred Skills

      • Prior CDL Driving experience
      • Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes
