      Location: Amsterdam

      Duration: 12 month Fixed Term Contract

      This role would suit candidates with a good background in supply chain planning, logistics, distribution or demand planning or a graduate some limited experience in supply and/demand planning who is analytical with transferable skills.

      About the Role

      This role sits with the European Planning team in Diageo, which is a key part of Diageo’s Supply Chain and Procurement organisation with an ambition to deliver “Best-In-Class” service and inventory performance by collaborating across the end-to-end Supply Chain.

      The Distribution Requirements Planner’s (DRP) primary remit is to lead all aspects of stock movements across the supply chain network, maintaining optimal stock cover at each of the locations, ensuring minimum distribution costs and is responsible to communicate stock availability to commercial team.

      The role includes planning and coordination of stock transfers among the network nodes (including 3rd parties) in collaboration with production sites and Supply Planning teams encompassing planning of supply of imported products with manufacturing plants, 3PL’s, carriers, customs, etc within Northern Europe.

      Your key accountabilities in managing Distribution Planning (DRP) are:

      • Be the single point of contact to the commercial team for supply of product into the market to ensure product continuity and providing availability dates.

      • Confirm stock availability and inbounds date for customer order delivery.

      • Run Status report for product availability and share with commercial and demand planning team.

      • Cooperation with Logistic specialist for PO amendments providing corrected inbound date and inbound stock quantity.

      • Manage stock transfers between markets.

      • Support in management of the phasing in & out of products during it product life cycle.

      • Lead the monthly stock review, with the objective of minimising the write-off of obsolete finished products.

      About you

      Hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in appropriate supply chain, mathematical, Logistics, engineering, or other business-related degree coupled with good experience working within the Production or Distribution Planning process; Consumer Packaged Goods Industry preferred.

      Proficient in the use of planning software within Supply Planning (SAP APO system and Business Intelligence/BW) would be required.

      You must have a baseline understanding of the end-to-end Supply Chain Planning processes; Supply Planning, Distribution Requirements Planning, Inventory Planning, Conversion, Logistics with outstanding Procurement and Customer Service skills. In addition

      • Strong analytical, organisational and decision-making skills

      • Effective communicator – verbal, written and presentation

      • Self starter - can identify new areas for opportunity quickly and autonomously

      • Proficient in MS applications e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook
