      Job Description and Person Specification

      We wish to appoint:

      4 x Drug and Alcohol Practitioners (BL164)
      37 hours a week – Permanent.
      Salary: £23,478- £25,709 (Depending on Experience)

      We have an excellent opportunity for an alcohol and drug practitioner with experience, who is able to work as part of the BARCA focussed intervention team at Forward Leeds. The successful candidate will motivate service users and will support them to make positive changes to their drinking or substance misuse.

      They will have a good knowledge of harm reduction messages, risk management, recovery planning, therapeutic interventions and be able to support clients to address their alcohol and drug (non-opiate) problems. They will need to be confident in their abilities, have good communication and record keeping skills and be self motivated.

      This role will require a combination of hub based and home working.

      They will be part of the Forward Leeds drug and alcohol service, and draw support from the rest of the service, including drawing upon the experience and expertise within one of the largest treatment services in the country. They will be based at one of the three Forward Leeds hubs and help contribute to the excellent recovery focussed outcomes that Forward Leeds delivers. They will need to be able to travel across the city and thus require their own transport.
