      Position Overview:

      We have exciting new opportunities at Finning! Join our Mobile Workforce Team today! In this role you will have the opportunity to travel throughout Alberta and NWT, where you will get the opportunity to work on and perform all repairs, troubleshooting, adjusting, overhauling, and maintaining mobile heavy-duty Cat equipment used in construction, forestry, mining, oil and gas. The Mobile Workforce will have technicians who are specialized in construction & forestry equipment, mining equipment and Power Systems product.

      We are looking for DT Electrician/Heavy Duty Mechanics who are ready to build a long-term career with Finning. Technicians will have the opportunity to work in both shop and field environments to grow product and mechanical experience, and opportunities for dealer training.

      This is a 7x7 continuous shift, where travel and camp/hotel or condo accommodations will be provided while out of town.

      If you are a safety conscious team player, self-motivated, autonomous, detail-oriented and possess your Journeyperson Electrical and Heavy Duty Equipment Technician Certificates with a valid driver’s license, then you are exactly who we are looking for!

      Job Description:

      • Troubleshooting and repairing Caterpillar and other mechanical equipment.
      • Utilize Caterpillar SIS and ET daily.
      • Complete technical documentation (service reports, warranty, crossover notes)
      • Interact with customers, sales support, and the rest of the Finning team.
      • Work with the Service Supervisor and Leadhand on various tasks as required.

      Qualifications:

      • Journeyperson Electrical Certification
      • Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) Certification
      • Valid driver's license with a successful recent driver abstract.
      • Previous Caterpillar experience is an asset.
      • Willingness to participate and complete additional training.
      • Self-motivated, computer literate, and safety orientated with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
      • Team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills

      Note:

      • Travel is required throughout Alberta and NWT
      • Preference for candidate locations are Edmonton, Calgary, Red Deer
      • This position will work a 7x7 continuous shift, subject to change temporarily based on project location
      • Union Membership: You are required to become a member of the Union associated with this position. This will be effective immediately and will result in union dues being deducted from your pay. The terms and conditions of your employment will be governed by the collective agreement.
