- Operate equipment, under supervision until certified and clean Mosaic watercraft off-road vehicles used.
- Develop, through training and team partnering, a general understanding of what potential hazards exist from conditions encountered in the field, how they hamper safe operation of hazing equipment, which ones are related to typical conditions, and which to substandard conditions, and how to recognize them.
- Be able to perform safe handling and transport of waterfowl during duck rescue, cleaning and triage, and release.
- Keep grounds and building clean and orderly.
- Develop safety awareness and leadership skills to share and support Mosaic safety program; supports EHS emergency response program.
- Work well with others as a team.
- Communicate with team members, team leader and management, as necessary, about findings and observations.
- A general understanding of operation of watercraft and off-road vehicles in a safe manner.
- Possess the ability to work outside, regardless of the elements.
- Ability to learn the dynamic nature of Mosaic brine lakes. Possess the ability to recognize hazards and to communicate same and/or to take appropriate caution; and learn applicable procedures to comply with regulatory requirements of Migratory Bird Treaty Act and Mosaic expectations regarding safety, and their policies and procedures.
- Candidate’s attendance record must demonstrate dependability.
- Prefer experience with duck rescue, triage, and basic care.
- Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License.
- Must be able to successfully acquire ATF possessor permit.
- Ability to work outside, regardless of elements.
- Perform physical tasks involving lifting 50 lbs, frequent stooping, bending, walking, pushing pulling etc.
- Candidate’s work record must reflect a high regard for and commitment to safety.

DUCK HAZER
The selected candidate will implement Mosaic Migratory Bird Treaty Act (MBTA) patrol program by following procedures, inspections, and cleaning facilities and equipment. Practice safe operation of various watercrafts, off-road/ on-road vehicles. Follow instructions from Team Leader for field activities and recordkeeping of duck patrol activities, observations, and findings. Be familiar with and follow Fish Wildlife Service permit and Mosaic MBTA program and implement Mosaic Environmental and Safety policies and procedures.
