  Team/division description

  Within the DWS, the Product Specialists & Development Active Sub Division is collectively responsible for the design and development of active, sustainable and competitive product solutions throughout their entire life cycle. We focus on the growth and design of the entire active product portfolio, and work in a customer-oriented way with a strong corporate philosophy.

  The ESG Advisory and Methodology Team is part of the Product Specialists & Development Active Sub Division. The team is responsible for the development of all product-specific ESG methods, the implementation of ESG-related investment criteria in public funds and investment strategies of institutional investors, as well as the ESG consulting of institutional clients. In its responsibility for ESG specific methods, the team reflects the expectations of our customers, the regulatory requirements for ESG products, as well as the latest developments in ESG data and scientific knowledge. In this work, the team works closely with all ESG experts from DWS, our customers and colleagues in the Product Division.

  Role description

  As a Senior Product Specialist, you will:

  • interpret current and future regulations (SFDR., EU Taxonomy, PAIIs etc. ) and translate them into ESG methods for investments and our products
  • (regulatory) ESG methodologies shall structure and develop data from different ESG rating agencies and describe them in disclosure documents
  • participate in the ESG-specific fora and assume responsibility for ESG methods and implementation within the DWS through our own DWS ESG engine and dialog with all decision-makers
  • take responsibility for the project at all stages of the development of the methods and act as an ambassador of the ESG methods in the field of regulatory requirements

  What we are looking for :

  • Relevant degree (or master’s degree level preferred) and other qualifications (e.g. CFA, CESGA)
  • Excellent analytical and methodological thinking to capture (regulatory) ESG related requirements and associated implications and risks
  • Excellent risk awareness and self-understanding of identified risks to communicate openly and transparently
  • Solution and implementation orientation to work hand in hand with external and internal partners from the company and develop jointly structured methods/solutions
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to present facts in a clear, structured and transparent way
  • Strong team players with a very high performance and a personality characterized by care and reliability, and at the same time feel very comfortable in a very dynamic environment with constantly changing tasks
  • Mind. 6 years of professional experience in a comparable position. Experience in sustainable finance topics, such as ESG-based products, sustainability strategies and regulation (taxonomy, SFDR., etc. (e) Alternatively, relevant experience in ESG and/or portfolio management/asset management

  Team- / Divisionbeschreibung

  Innerhalb der DWS ist die Product Specialists & Development Active Sub-Division gesamthaft verantwortlich für das Design und die Entwicklung aktiver, nachhaltiger und wettbewerbsfähiger Produktlösungen über ihren gesamten Lebenszyklus hinweg. Wir fokussieren uns auf das Wachstum und die Gestaltung des gesamten aktiven Produkt Portfolios, und arbeiten kundenorientiert mit einer starken unternehmerischen Philosophie.

  Das ESG Advisory and Methodology Team ist Teil der Product Specialists & Development Active Sub-Division. Das Team verantwortet sowohl die Entwicklung aller produktspezifischen ESG-Methoden, Implementierung ESG-bezogener Anlagekriterien in Publikumsfonds und Anlagestrategien institutioneller Anleger, sowie die ESG-Beratung institutioneller Kunden. In seiner Verantwortung für ESG spezifische Methoden spiegelt das Team die Erwartungen unserer Kunden, die regulatorischen Anforderungen für ESG-Produkte, sowie die neuesten Entwicklungen bei ESG-Daten und wissenschaftlichen Erkenntnissen wider. In dieser Tätigkeit arbeiten das Team eng mit allen ESG-Experten der DWS, unseren Kunden und Kollegen in der Produktdivision zusammen.

  Rollenbeschreibung

  Als Senior Product Specialist werden Sie:

  • aktuelle und zukünftige Regulatorik (SFDR, EU-Taxonomie, PAIIs etc.) interpretieren und in ESG-Methoden für Investments und unsere Produkte übersetzen
  • (regulatorische) ESG-Methoden anhand Daten unterschiedlicher ESG-Ratingagenturen strukturieren und entwickeln sowie diese in Offenlegungsdokumenten beschreiben
  • an den ESG spezifischen Gremien teilnehmen und die Verantwortung für ESG-Methoden und Implementierung innerhalb der DWS durch unsere eigene DWS ESG Engine sowie den Dialog mit allen Entscheidungsträgern übernehmen
  • die Projektverantwortung für alle Entwicklungsstufen der Methoden übernehmen und als Botschafter der ESG-Methoden im Bereich regulatorischer Anforderungen agieren

  Wir suchen

  • Relevanter Studienabschluss (Diplom oder Master’s degree level bevorzugt) und andere Qualifikationen (e.g. CFA, CESGA)
  • Ausgeprägtes analytisches und methodisches Denken, um (regulatorische) ESG bezogene Anforderungen und damit verbundene Implikationen und Risiken zu erfassen
  • Ausgeprägtes Risikobewusstsein und Selbstverständnis identifizierte Risiken offen und transparent zu kommunizieren
  • Lösungs- und Umsetzungsorientierung um mit externen sowie internen Partnern aus dem Unternehmen Hand in Hand zu arbeiten und gemeinsam strukturierte Methoden/ Lösungen zu entwickeln
  • Ausgezeichnete Kommunikations- und Präsentationsfähigkeiten um Sachverhalte klar, strukturiert und transparent aufzuzeigen
  • Starker Teamplayer mit sehr hoher Leistungsbereitschaft und eine Persönlichkeit, die sich durch Sorgfalt und Zuverlässigkeit auszeichnet und sich gleichzeitig in einem sehr dynamischen Umfeld mit ständig wechselnden Aufgabenstellungen sehr wohl fühlt
  • Mind. 6 Jahre Berufserfahrung in einer vergleichbaren Position. Erfahrung in Sustainable Finance Themen, wie ESG-basierten Produkten, Nachhaltigkeitsstrategien und Regulatorik (Taxonomie, SFDR u. ä.). Alternativ entsprechende Erfahrungen im Bereich ESG und/oder Portfoliomanagement/Vermögensverwaltung
