Position Summary
The successful candidate will work in a global environment, on local and global programs, closely with release teams and other functional groups; he/she will ensure that our products will meet the structural requirements in terms of durability and dynamics. He/she will be involved in all phases of product development cycle, from concept layout to SOP, proactively recognize any possible issues and develop solutions to meet performance objectives and timelines of various programs. He/she will also support testing and design teams.

Main Responsibilities
• Create finite element models of drivetrain components and subsystems.
• Perform finite element analyses: linear and non-linear static, thermal&thermo-mechanical, durability,optimization.
• Interpret simulation results and convert them to design recommendations.
• Write technical reports and present them to local and global stakeholders.
• Work with design and testing departments to develop and optimize products.
• Support definition and development of calculation guidelines, methodologies and best practices.
Job Requirements
Education: University master degree Mechanical, Aerospace or equivalent
Professional background
• 5+ years of relevant experience in FEA is expected.
• Automotive industry background is required, experience in powertrain and driveline design preferred.
Hard skills:
Essential:
• Broad knowledge of automotive engineering design, solid mechanics and strength of materials. • Good understanding of fatigue (HCF/LCF) and fracture mechanics.
• Experience in FEA of mechanical components: linear and non-linear static, frequency response, durability, optimization.
• Knowledge of FEA tools: HyperWorks, SimLab, Abaqus, Ansys or similar.
• Good reporting and technical presentation skills.
• Fluent English
Considered as a plus:
• Experience in multibody dynamics simulation using Adams, MotionSolve, SimPack or similar.
• Knowledge of specific FEA tools for fatigue analysis: fe-safe, FEMFAT or similar.
• Knowledge in programming for automatization and scripting.
