  Net Zero Industry Delivery Manager

  As a Barclays Net Zero Industry Delivery Manager, you’ll join a team who are in the defining decade for climate action, building a community of startups and scaleups who are leading climate and nature innovation. These solutions will be essential in delivering the transition to Net Zero and through our specialist support, events, and programs, we’ll be helping to accelerate this transition. This role will form part of our climate and Nature Innovation team who focus on supporting high potential innovators with ambitions to advance Net Zero.

  This opportunity is location flexible. We will consider requests for locating the role at an alternative Barclays’ key UK office from that advertised.

  
  At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home. We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, ‘anchor’, days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours).   What will you be doing?
  • Capturing and reporting on key industry data and insight and using these insights to make recommendations to continuously drive and enhance our performance and proposition
  • Understanding external trends relevant to ensure that the Lab proposition evolves and maintains a position of competitive advantage
  • Partnering with the Industry Leads to define the standards and specifications around which Industry teams’ function will operate in line with agreed proposition
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders across the Barclays UK (Business, Premier) and BI coverage teams to drive engagement
  • Using the industry initiative to drive intelligent and targeted client acquisition
  • Defining and understanding, on an on-going basis, the key challenges and needs faced by industry vertical ecosystems
  • Making key recommendations to senior business leaders to successfully remove these challenges in the right way

  
  What we’re looking for:
  • Deep and broad knowledge of the UK’s entrepreneurial and innovation ecosystem, including an understanding of the incubators, accelerators, and government
  • Proven ability of developing and iterating innovative propositions aligned to target client needs, and the commercial acumen to manage budgets
  • Excellent, oral, written, visual and presentation skills vital, with high levels of creative flair as well as attention to detail required
  • Able to think like an entrepreneur, both in terms of understanding the key client needs of entrepreneurs

  
  Skills that will help you in the role:
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment, whilst effectively coordinating a wider team; with proven ability to manage and influence a virtual team essential
  • Detailed understanding and aptitude of project delivery running and growing a business, and ability to manage and own a budget as well as creating and growing new revenue
  • Analytical skills used to measure on going performance, being able to update key stakeholders on performance management, and utilising available data
  • Solid ability to network and develop deep and lasting relationships across multiple Barclays business functions as well as senior external client audiences
