What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Plan and implement comprehensive policy and systems change strategies related to early care and education
- Manage contracts and action plans with local agencies, providing technical assistance and building relationships
- Interpret and update state policies and regulations impacting early care and education systems
- Provide training and facilitate committees to enhance program delivery in diverse communities
- Analyze data to inform decision-making and support local agencies in reporting and enhancing their programming
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in public health, early care and education, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience related to health programs, including program planning and management
- Knowledge of evidence-based strategies for improving early care and education systems
- Strong skills in writing, public speaking, and data analysis
- Valid state-issued driver’s license for state business travel
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master's degree in a related field, which may substitute for 1 year of professional experience
- Familiarity with community programs supporting early care and education
- Experience in trauma-informed practices and community engagement
- Leadership experience in managing committees or statewide projects
- Knowledge of federal and state rules and regulations relevant to early care and education
