      The positions we offer are best suited to recent graduates of a course of study, preferably at master’s level and up to 2 years of cumulated professional experience.

      Conditions and benefits of the Early Careers Programme

      • Full-time onsite employment of 6 months with the World Economic Forum Geneva office.

      • We will accommodate start dates between 1 April to 30 April 2024.

      • Monthly gross compensation of CHF 4’400.- (salary: CHF 4’050- plus health benefits: CHF 350-).

      • All required technological equipment (laptop and mobile phone) and accesses.

      • Immigration and minimal relocation support.

      Role 1 : FOUNDATIONS

      Reason for hiring:

      The Foundations serve as three distinct, impact-driven platforms that empower and connect next-generation and social innovation leaders to take action on the world’s most pressing challenges. Together, The Global Shapers Community, The Forum of Young Global Leaders, and The Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship work towards a more just, sustainable, and equitable world. The Foundations ' team supports innovative changemakers in driving significant social impact through global visibility, knowledge building, leadership development, partnership curation, and collective action.

      The selected candidate will be responsible for:

      • Develop work plans and systems that guide the work of the Foundations and enable the seamless execution of events, communications, and campaigns

      • Support planning, design, and production for the 2024 Global Shapers and Young Global Leaders Summits

      • Coordinate community outreach and events, including managing participant communications

      • Develop innovative ways to showcase impactful community stories and projects, including social media posts, sessions and workshops, and event reports

      • Contribute to data collection and analysis, helping identify areas for growth and improvement

      Preferred qualification and experience:

      • Bachelor's degree with up to 2 years of relevant work experience

      • Project management capabilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

      • Community building, communications, and/or event management experience

      Desired skills:

      • Excellent command of verbal and written English

      • Digital native comfortable with a variety of collaboration tools, proficient in MS Office and Salesforce or other CRM software (database management experience an asset).

      • Strong time management and organizational skills for prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines

      Role 2 : FORUM OF YOUNG GLOBAL LEADERS

      Reason for hiring:

      For 20 years, the Forum of Young Global Leaders (YGL) has invested in, developed, and inspired a remarkable group of leaders worldwide to move beyond their individual professional success to engage in greater impact on society and our planet, both individually and collectively. The YGL programme engages leaders committed to mobilizing sustainable and future-oriented business practices across their organizations; next-generation political leaders constructing a peaceful and prosperous shared future; and critical change-makers across cultural, social, civil, artistic and academic fields. Our aim is to mobilize these enterprising leaders as a collective to build a more sustainable, more inclusive world for us all.

      The selected candidate will be responsible for^:

      • Supporting the implementation and administration of a new community membership structure

      • Developing a new community peer mentorship programme

      • Refining the YGL Alumni Community onboarding process

      • Developing topic and subject focussed online groups for YGL networking and collaboration, using TopLink, our digital community platform

      Preferred qualification and experience:

      • Bachelor’s degree and up to 2 years of relevant work experience

      • Interest and experience in programme and project management, leadership development and community management

      • Experience writing for a professional audience and digital publishing and/or content creation

      Desired skills:

      • Perfect command of verbal and written English; with excellent professional writing skills in English

      • Digital native comfortable with a variety of collaboration tools, proficient in MS Office and Salesforce or other CRM software (database management experience an asset).

      • Team player and creative self-starter with strong attention to detail and outstanding relationship-building skills
