Amplify is seeking a part-time consultant to support research and design of materials to support early childhood mathematics learning, targeting Pre-Kindergarten (PreK) and Transitional Kindergarten (TK). The Early Childhood Math Consultant will use their background in Pre-Kindergarten and/or Transitional Kindergarten to provide guidance on Pre-K/TK Mathematics teaching and learning. This position will be a part-time role with contributions lasting no longer than the next six months.

Our PK/TK Consultant will be responsible for providing feedback and expertise to help shape the research, design, iteration, and development of Pre-K/TK mathematics materials.

**This is a part-time, short-term contract role.

Responsibilities of the Early Childhood Math Consultant:

• Provide directional feedback on Amplify Desmos Math PK/TK pedagogy, curriculum, and resources and materials

• Provide specific feedback on prototypes of curriculum components and deliver that feedback to the Amplify team

• Provides insights from educational research on best practices PK/TK pedagogy

• Speak with and document conversations with PK/TK teachers to collect areas of need and programmatic feedback

Basic Qualifications of the Early Childhood Math Consultant:

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 8+ years of experience in teaching and/or coaching educators in Pre-K/TK

• Proven knowledge of adult learning principles and experience applying them when delivering learning experiences to adults

• Strong knowledge around best practices for implementing high-quality instruction in Pre-K/TK

• Strong research knowledge around Pre-K/TK pedagogy

• Excellent skill and comfort with technology-based productivity tools, including Microsoft Office, Google Applications and video conferencing programs (Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams)

• Exceptional interpersonal and written/oral communication skills

• Proven time management skills when managing multiple tasks

Preferred Qualifications of the Early Childhood Math Consultant:

• Master’s degree in early childhood education

Compensation:
The hourly rate for this role is $100.00.
